Growing up, we would put up our artificial tree on black Friday and by Saturday every corner in our house had been touched by Christmas. The tree was beautiful with white lights, pearl string beads, red and gold ornaments, and a silver bell for all every Christmas my sister and I had been around for! One year my dad, sister, and I got to cut down a real tree to put in another room of the house. This tree had long needles and was more wide than it was tall. Mom had whipped up some fake snow and we got to decorate the tree with globs of this "snow," multi-colored lights and whatever wacky ornament our heart desired!
Cassandra + Allen | Riverside Estate Wedding
Cassandra and Allen's May wedding was toasty, but you would never know it from their smiles! From the quiet moments getting ready to the first dance at the reception, their day was full of romance and glam. Cassandra's parents arranged to surprise her on the wedding day with a harpist at the ceremony and beautiful draping and chandeliers at the reception! I think you'll be able to hear the laughs and feel the love while scrolling through some of my favorites.
Sarah + Doug | Virginia Fall Wedding
Sarah + Doug | Sunset Engagement Session
All couples have the option to choose their own locations for engagement portraits, but I definitely don't require it. However, when it was time to plan Sarah and Doug's session, they knew exactly where they wanted to go, and the day that happened to work with everyone's schedule was exactly a year prior to their wedding date! While it wasn't intentional, I was so honored to spend the day with them!
Caroline + Dan | Virginia Fall Engagement Session
This fall has been unseasonably warm, and I for one am okay with prolonging the blistery cold Virginia weather! The air has only just turned chilly and my fall jackets aren't going to be heavy enough in a matter of days. So to keep the warm and positive feelings for colder weather alive, I'm sharing a beautiful engagement session taken in the peak of autumn!
