Carla Miles
I grew up in a closely knit small town in the mountains of Virginia, where virtually my entire family was right down the street. There are countless memories in my head of spending Sunday afternoons eating whole-town-sized meals, and hearing all the local news from my extended family at my grandma and granddad’s house next door. Their door (and kitchen) was always open, and I pray there’s not a day that I don’t take their hospitable and kind hearts with me wherever I go.
In my friend circles, I always seem to be the match-maker—no, I don’t mean setting up blind dates! I’m the one arranging for friends to meet and get to know one another, or persuading everyone to try out the new taco joint or ice cream shop that just opened around the corner. Even in the small things, I love connecting people. And when I see someone I love connect with their purpose, it brings me such joy. I believe that the biggest risk we can take is with intimacy, and that those risks lead to the greatest reward. The more you risk together, the more you prove a relationship is genuine.
As for me, I became a June bride to my college sweetheart four years ago. We married young, but so did my grandparents, and their love stood the test of time, only sweetening with age. I have found that with each year his love feels more familiar, and it never grows stale. Jordan is the biggest dreamer I know and I can't imagine another soul who cheers me on like he does! He is my greatest encouragement and my closest friend.

Nashville Wedding Photographer
We left Virginia for Tennessee in 2017 and love calling Nashville our home! Our nights are spent playing with our rescue pup Charlie, spirited conversations about turning our home improvement and decor ideas into reality, and the occasional late night Netflix-and-ice cream binge. If there was one thing I could change about myself I would become a morning person, because there’s little more beautiful than puffy fog on green, Tennessee hills in the soft morning light. While photography became my first love when I was young, I studied graphic design in college as a natural complement to the craft. Now I’m so blessed to spend my time in Nashville creating every day—whether it’s through photography, graphic design, or just a piece of old furniture that’s worth painting.
